Many people are single (and
proud to be) and while they are on their own, they still like to go away
on holiday, have a break and enjoy a little relaxation. However, sometimes
it can be hard to decide just where to go and what to do as a single traveller.
Whether you are a first-time
single traveller or have been doing it for years, single travel can be
a worthwhile and rewarding break from the stresses of everyday life.
Bear in mind it doesn't have to be one of those boring group coach trips
and it isn't all about a match-making experience either. Below are a just
a few suggestions for perfect solo holidays for singles.
How about a cruise around
Croatia?
This beautiful country offers a stunning coastline and many little islands
dotted around in the blue ocean. Cruising around the islands gives
you the opportunity to stop off and dine on the traditional cuisine along
the way, visiting such attractive and fascinating destinations as Dubrovnik,
Split and Hvar among others.

Activity holidays are another
great way to go away and make new friends along the way. There are many
great activity options available online where singles can enjoy a few games
of golf, go sailing, canoeing or windsurfing, play volleyball on the beach
or participate in fun fitness programmes.
Golfers will particularly
love the Costa del Sol. This stretch of coastline is also well known as
being the "Costa del Golf" for its many excellent golf courses and resorts
all along the way. If your preference if Portugal, head down to the
Algarve for the many excellent golf courses there as well as those stunning
beaches.
Water sports fans can head
to the lovely Island of Corsica and enjoy the sailing, canoeing and windsurfing
on offer. When on dry land, play tennis or go for mountain bike tours on
the beautifully scenic island.
In the chilly winter months,
why not take advantage of snowy conditions and go skiing in France, Italy
of Austria? A day out on the slopes, followed by some fun apres ski activities
make for great exercise and the chance to meet fun and interesting like-minded
people. |

Those living in the United
Kingdom and feeling like a bit of exercise, but with little free time to
spare, can enjoy fun walking weekends in the New Forest. Lovely surroundings
and great camaraderie make for a great weekend break.
Looking for a great party?
Head off to the world-famous party
island of Ibiza with its endless nightlife, restaurants and bars to
enjoy. In the daytime enjoy relaxing on the beaches, catching a tan
and recovering for the following evening's activities.
This lovely Balearic Island
offers more than party fun, too. Head off and tour the island and
enjoy all that beautiful scenery.
Whatever holiday break you
choose, you can have a fun experience, meet new and interesting people
and generally come home relaxed and ready to head back to work. While
not everyone is looking for romance, bear in mind you could meet that person
of your dreams on your holiday trip too. |
