The modern Elite Palace
Hotel occupies eight levels of an 11-storey 1950s building, and is situated
in a residential area, within a kilometre of the green expanse of Hagaparken.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport is 35 kilometres from the hotel. The marble-floored
lobby features impressionistic art prints, chandeliers, leather sofas,
and fresh flowers, and a Japanese-style screen door leading to the restaurant.
Guests can host informal wine-tasting sessions in the lobby, which features
an innovative self- service machine complete with 12 different bottles
and informative tasting notes. The contemporary Taabla restaurant is characterised
by marble floors and a cushioned red central pillar, and serves international
fare for lunch and dinner. The traditional English-style pub has classic
dark wood panelling and floorboards, and is decorated with artefacts and
antiques including oars from the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race; a range of
English draught and bottled beers are served and the pub features a 'wall

The Hilton Stockholm Slussen
is a modern, eight-storey city-centre hotel with views across the river,
located 300 metres from Slussen underground station. The hotel houses a
health club where guests can work out in the gym and then relax in the
sauna or spa tub. Classic dishes and Swedish specialities are served for
lunch and dinner in the Eken Matsal restaurant, while Panorama offers a
range of breakfast options, plus Sunday brunch buffets and conference lunches.
Guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks, including house-speciality cocktails,
and take in panoramic views of the city in the Views Bar, or mingle in
the lively Eken Bar. Drinks, snacks and light meals are available via room
service 24 hours a day. The hotel is sited 2 kilometres from the Vasa Museum,
a treasure trove of historical artefacts, whose centrepiece is the skeletal
