The seaside resort of Amalfi
lies on the south coast of the Sorrento peninsula at the northern edge
of the Gulf of Salerno, in the region of Campania 24 miles southeast of
Naples. It lies at the mouth of a deep ravine, at the foot of Monte Cerreto
(1,315 meters, 4,314 feet), surrounded by dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery.
The largest and most popular resort on this mountainous stretch of coastline,
Amalfi is a popular holiday base for tourists wanting to explore the area.
The Republic of Amalfi was once a major seafaring power, and the town's
traditions and historical buildings bear witness to Amalfi's glorious past.

S. Agata is situated between
the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno, in the hills surrounding the
Sorrento Peninsula. Well known for its healthy air and organic vegetables,
S.Agata has been a popular tourist resort since the Eighteenth Century.
The village itself is in a very good location. Sorrento, Positano,
Amalfi and Nerano can all be easily reached either by car or bus. Nerano
and Massalubrense’s small port are both typical mediterranean fishing villages,
where you can taste the local seafood, hire small boats or simply relax
whilst enjoying a long, cool drink. The apartments are in a new independent
building in the centre of S.Agata. Recommended for families or couples
who are looking for quiet accommodation at affordable rates. For large
groups of people (between four - eight persons), the two flats can be joined. |

A famous holiday resort,
Sorrento stands on a terrace rising steeply above the sea, on one of the
most spectacular points of the Peninsula. Its position and mild climate,
sheltered by the surrounding hills, have made Sorrento a favourite holiday
resort since Roman times. However it was from the Eighteenth Century
that it started to become known as an elite tourist resort, its hotels
welcoming such poets and musicians as Ibsen, Wagner and Nietzche and in
more recent years such Hollywood greats as Sophia Loren, Bridget Bardot
and Grace Kelly. Situated on the 5th floor of an elegant building
on the High Street (Corso Italia) in Sorrento town center, with access
via elevator and stairs. Recommended for families or couples who are looking
for a comfortable and convenient, central location. |
