rich in culture and traditions, at the centre of a triangle: Avignon, Nimes
and Orange. Suitable for independent travellers, who like to organise
their own holiday. There is an information file with detachable sheets,
to help you make the most of your visit. This file is in continuous development
and additions are welcome from clients who wish to pass on their knowledge
and experience to assist other visitors. The Department (county) of Gard
is unique in France, if not the world because of its diversity of landscape,
which range from the mountains of the Cevennes, to sand beaches and the
Rhone delta (Camargue). I would recommend that you come by car or at least
hire one if you fly. The adjacent departments: Vaucluse, Bouches du Rhone,
Ardeche and Heraut, all have many interesting sites and are easily accessible
by car because of Frances excellent road network, which usually has very

La
Paloma House - Sleeps 12 (Ref: 13001) Self catering villa in Arles sur
Tech, France
In 1956 local chiropractor,
Mr Boix and his dentist wife chose the site of an old vineyard with views
over the picturesque medieval village of Arles sur Tech for the site to
create a villa to live in and a separate suite of rooms for them to practice
in. When we bought the house in 2003 we converted the practice rooms into
extra living accommodation, installed a swimming pool and created extra
terraces. Built in an old vineyard, La Paloma is surrounded by wonderful
grounds with extensive terracing and seating areas for outdoor dining.
The house has a 9m x 4.5m swimming pool with Roman steps. There is an extensive
sunbathing area with plenty of sun beds. The house has games equipment
for badminton and boules as well as a full size table tennis table.

The
Ivy House, Languedoc (Ref: 9598) Self catering village house in Oupia,
France
4 bedroom village house
with pool newly renovated in Summer 2005. Set in the peaceful village of
Oupia in the heart of the minervois vineyards, the house is a perfect base
for a relaxing peaceful family holiday. The ground floor has an open
plan living room dining room and new kitchen fully equiped with fridge/freezer,
cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining room opens out via double
doors onto a stone patio which leads up to the 8 x 4m fenced swimming pool.
The garden looks to the local vineyards and views to the black mountains.
The first floor has two twin bedrooms, a single bedroom and a family bathroom.
The master bedroom has an ensuite and doors leading on to the tiled balcony
overlooking the garden. The upper floor is open plan grenier and has four
single beds. The area is surrounded by vineyards. The village has a small
shop,post office and restaurant. Olonzac (3kms) has further shops and restaurants.
The Canal du Midi is 10mins away and boats are available to hire at nearby
Homps. There is a lake for watersports and swimming 10mins away and the
Med beaches are a 40 min drive away Sleeps 9 |

This villa is in the small
development of Moulin de la Mer overlooking vineyards and on the edge of
the charming village of Portiragnes. The ground floor Kitchen / Dining
/ Living room is open plan with a well equipped kitchen, including microwave,
oven/grill, hob, full size fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher,
dining table and chairs, 2 sofas ( 3 seaters), CD player, radio, TV &
DVD. Bedroom 1 - double bedroom with wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bathroom - with bath / shower and hand basin and Tumble dryer Separate
WC. The centre of the village is only a couple of minutes by car
or a leisurely 10 minute stroll on foot or take advantage of the bicycles
