Epping Forest Hotels, London:

Epping Forest is an area of ancient woodland in south-east England, straddling the border between north-east Greater London and Essex. Formed in approximately 8000 BC after the last ice age, it covers nearly 6,000 acres (24 km²) and contains areas of grassland, heath, rivers, bogs and ponds. Stretching between Forest Gate in the south and Epping in the north, Epping Forest is approximately 18 km long in the north-south direction, but no more than 4 km from east to west at its widest point, and in most places considerably narrower. The forest lies on a ridge between the valleys of the rivers Lea and Roding; its elevation and thin sandy soil - the result of glaciation - historically made it unsuitable for agriculture. Embankments of two Iron Age camps - Loughton Camp and Ambresbury Banks - can be found hidden in the woodland. It gives its name to the Epping Forest local government district.

The Euston Road is an important thoroughfare in central London, England and forms part of the A501. It is part of the New Road from Paddington to Islington, which was constructed as a bypass through the fields to the north of London in the 1740s, but it is now generally regarded as being in central London. Office developments grew around this junction including the Euston Tower skyscraper that now forms part of Regent's Place. In 2002 the Greater London Authority commissioned a masterplan for the improvement of Euston Road from the prominent architectural firm Terry Farrell and Partners.   Euston Square is a London Underground station at the corner of Euston Road and Gower Street, just north of University College London. The station, which is within walking distance of Euston railway station, is on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, between Great Portland Street and King's Cross St. Pancras.
