Visiting The Romantic Places Of Bulgaria   by Graham McKenzie

Looking for a great place to spend your summer vacation? Head out to the country of Bulgaria. While this may not be one of the usual countries travelers visit in Europe, it is definitely one that you should discover and explore.

Located on the southeastern side of Europe, the country of Bulgaria opens to the Black Sea which borders the country on the east. It is now slowly gaining popularity among Europeans and travelers from other parts of the world as one of the best countries to visit in the continent.

If this is your first time to travel to this country, here are just some tips to help you get the most of your trip.

As with any country in Europe, all travelers are required to have a valid passport before taking a trip to Bulgaria. Make sure that the validity of your passport extends six months after your arrival to this country. It would be a good idea to have your passport first renewed before you travel, if your passport is to expire within the same year.

If you are visiting the country as a tourist, immigration would allow tourists from some countries to visit the country without having to acquire a visa for as long as the stay is no longer than 30 days. To make sure if you are eligible for this, you can contact the embassy or consulate of Bulgaria in your country for more details.

All travelers to this country are required to present a valid passport with its expiration date at least six months from the time that you leave Bulgaria and return to your home country. If your passport is going to expire within the same year, it is a good idea to get your passport renewed first before making your travel arrangements to avoid any potential problems the moment you get there to Bulgaria.

Not all tourists are required to acquire a visa to visit the country, provided that your stay is no longer than 30 days. To see if you are qualified for this, it is best to contact the embassy of Bulgaria in your country.

It is important to make sure that before you travel to this country, you bring along a copy of your itinerary which not only show how long you would be staying in the country but also your accommodations in Bulgaria as well. Immigration officers would require you to submit this to the local police as soon as you arrive in your country to prevent any possibility of overstaying in the country.

Another top tourist destination is the ancient city of Nesebar. This beautiful seaside port is not just home to buildings and infrastructures dating back to the Middle Ages. It is also a favorite by tourists and locals for its pristine beaches which open up to the Black Sea.

You can use your ATM or debit card in the ATM machines in the major cities of the country which would dispense the amount you need in the local currency. It is important to remember, though, that international ATM cards used are subject to additional fees and a limit in the number of transactions that could be done in a day.
